Adam graduated from Rhodes University (South Africa) where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree.
Prior to establishing Betapoint in 2003, Adam worked for Citibank in the UK before returning to South Africa in 1999 to enjoy a successful career at Arthur Andersen as a member of the Energy and Utilities practice.
Given his entrepreneurial drive and strategic vision, Adam founded Betapoint and has built a high caliber and multi-skilled team which is able to provide clients with thought leadership, while maintaining the ability to roll up their sleeves and drive pragmatic solutions for critical initiatives.
Michael graduated with a BCompt from UNISA, completed his ACCA in 2005 and is currently reading for his MSc at the University of Cape Town.
Michael completed his articles at Mazaars Cape Town, before spending seven years in London working on various HSBC Specialist Investments funds.
Over the past five years, Michael has been at the helm of Betapoint’s Property Consulting arm during what is undoubtedly the most exciting period in the company’s history. His forte lies in aligning Betapoint’s client’s real estate strategy to their corporate strategy in order to deliver significant, measurable value in terms of financial, cultural and brand benefits.
Akua holds an honours degree in Economics, a masters degree in International Real Estate Finance and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Her practical experience has been obtained from a combined 14 years of working in the Corporate Finance division of the Merrill Lynch office in Johannesburg, working in the Structured Finance-Property Finance division of the Rand Merchant Bank office in Johannesburg and consulting within the area of Real Estate growth opportunities within Sub-Saharan Africa for various key clients.
Her current role at Betapoint centres around the creation and maintenance of a long-term value add service proposition that targets strategic clients within the owner occupied, blue-chip, parastatal and listed real estate sector space.
Eniel studied at the University of Pretoria where he completed a Bachelors degree in Informatics and more recently completed a Business Leadership programme at GIBS.
He started his career in IT Project Coordination, IT Operations and later IT and Business Project Management before making the career move into FMS.
Eniel has held the position of leading the Corporate Real Estate and Facility Management function for a large international insurance company’s operation across the Middle East and Africa region and is currently responsible for the successful mobilization and integration of all the Facility Management Services that Betapoint oversees on behalf of its clients. Such services cover the project implementation phase as well as hard and soft services.
Rene holds certificates in Project Management, Advanced Project Management and is proficient with the MS Project tool.
She previously worked at PwC where she delivered project management services across multi-industry clients the likes of BHP Billiton, Anglo, Sasol, Total and Galderma. She has delivered on Financial, Supply Chain, IM and Relocation projects and has expertise in Finance and Supply Chain processes.
René has a bias for action, is focused on delivery and adding value, and is particularly skilled in developing good relationships and encourages communication within teams.
She is well placed as a Project Management driver within the Betapoint realm.
Donovan has a BSc Degree in Civil engineering and is registered with ECSA.
He has a deep understanding of how to effectively manage a project enabling successful handover and completion within budget and schedule, through all phases of a project.
With 5 years’ experience in various regions of Sasol Secunda primarily focusing on all aspects of Civil Engineering from feasibility studies, basic development, detail design, construction and commissioning with focus to petrochemical and commercial real estate projects, he is well placed as a Project Management driver within the Betapoint realm.
Michelle holds a civil engineering degree and a Master’s in Business Administration in Green Energy and Sustainable Business.
Her practical experience has been obtained from working for Eskom where she gained experience as a civil engineer, honing her management and project optimization skills.
She is currently working as a consultant within the Betapoint workplace stream.
Jabu is a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Heriot Watt University (UK), he also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Research Methods (PgCert BRM) from the Heriot Watt University in UK and he is currently studying a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
As a Management Consultant with over 10 years’ experience in Business Research, Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Business Process Re-engineering, Accounting and Finance, he has assisted organisations and their management develop and execute strategies in several local, regional and international companies.
His areas of focus have included the following industries; oil and gas, insurance, pharmaceutical, real estate, agri-business, education and non–governmental organisations.
Lavani has a BSc in Property Studies.
Prior to joining Betapoint Lavani worked for a market leader in the commercial property finance industry within South Africa and a leading global real estate professional services and investment management firm.
Lavani has brought a working knowledge of the South African real estate industry to the team which has proven to be a reliable foundation in her consulting career.
Mati hold’s an Honours in Bachelor of Science with a focus on Construction Management.
She previously worked at Bloomberg New Energy Finance as an intern. Her current role at Betapoint entails an active presence within the facilities management space, where she assists in process development, procurement and general FM advisory support services.
Stephanie Botton holds an Undergraduate and Honours degrees in Property Studies.
While in her Honours year, she focused on green building, with her thesis being on a related topic. Her thesis explored the potential for green behaviors to transfer from the corporate environment to the homes of these green building occupants. She participated in Growthpoint’s 2016 Greenovate Awards for her thesis’ relevance and value to industry players and remains very interested in the evolution of green building in South Africa.
She recently joined Betapoint as a Junior Management Consultant.
Gill holds an Honours in Bachelor of Commerce with a focus on Economics, (majoring in Advance Macro and Micro economics, Advanced Econometrics, Competition Policy/Industrial Organization and Advanced trade and Monetary Economics).
Gill is a critical thinker with strong analytical and statistical modelling skills. With a comprehensive foundational knowledge of economic theories and policies, she has an affinity for forecasting, fiscal and monetary policy, trade and investment.
Her current role at Betapoint is in providing direct assistance to both the Project team leaders and Key experts in the execution and implementation of project activities of a transactional nature.
Samantha holds an Honours degree in Marketing and Communication Management and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
With her strengths lying in client relationship management, strategy implementation and marketing management, she gained valuable insight in the banking sector whiles completing a 2-year Pan-African programme with Barclays Africa.
Samantha’s key focus at Betapoint is on formulating and implementing the internal marketing and communications plan as well as organizing corporate and media related events.
Philippa has a National Diploma in Retail Business Management from Witwatersrand.
Philippa has 16 years of experience working as a Senior Sales and Account Manager at Clickatell, Masslift and Sasol Polymers as well as an Office Manager at Trinity Books.
She is an experienced personal assistant, office manager and administrator with excellent communication and organizational skills whose focus area at Betapoint is to assist with the day to day running of the office from a key administration perspective.
